Meg Saligman is an internationally renowned mural artist who lives and works in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Her most well known work, Common Threads is a Philadelphia landmark. She has painted numerous other popular murals in Philadelphia, and has also created unique murals in Mexico and Shreveport, Louisiana.
Saligman is widely recognized for her large-scale murals and her technical innovations in mural design and execution, including her adaptation of a method of painting on acrylic non-woven cloth, which has become an industry standard. Saligman is also a pioneer in the use of computers to design murals. She was recognized by Public Art Review as one of the ten most influential muralists in the nation. She has received numerous awards for her work including honors from the National Endowment for the Arts.
